Kenzo, Jungle, L'Elephant.

Post perfumeryjny - oto, co dziś czeka na was na blogu. Tym razem opowiem wam o mega niebanalnym zapachu. Albo się go kocha, albo nienawidzi. Należę do tych pierwszych. Ciekawa jestem, czy go znacie i do której grupy należycie..

A perfume post - here's what is waiting for you on my blog today. This time I'm going to tell you about a unique fragrance. People either love or hate it. I belong to the first group. I'm wondering if you know it and which group you belong to.

marka: Kenzo
nazwa: Jungle L'Elephant
pojemność, cena: różnie. Na Allegro można trafić na podróbki udające oryginał. Mała pojemność, 30 ml - ok. 150 zł, 100 ml - ok. 240 zł
moja ocena: 9, 5/10 pkt

brand: Kenzo
name: Jungle L'Elephant
amount, price: various ones. You can buy a fake bottle by accident via Internet. A small amount, 30 ml - about 150 zloty, 100 ml - about 240 zloty
my rating: 9, 5/10 pnts

Na zdjęciu widzicie resztkę tych perfum, mam jeszcze ok. 5 ml we flakonie.

You can see a small amount of the perfume in the bottle, there's maybe 5 ml left.

Zapach został stworzony w 1996 roku przez Dominique Ropion i zalicza się do kategorii orientalno-przyprawowej. Jego nuty to:

nuta głowy: mandarynka, goździk, kmin
nuta serca: kminek, mango, heliotrop, ylang-ylang, lukrecja, gardenia, kardamon
nuty bazy: bursztyn, paczula, wanilia

The fragrance was created in 1996 by Dominique Ropion and belongs to the oriental-spicy group. Its notes are:
top notes: mandarin orange, cloves, cumin
middle notes: caraway, mango, heliotrope, ylang-ylang, licorice, gardenia, cardamom
base notes: amber, patchouli, vanilla.

Afryka w buteleczce. Albo ZOO w buteleczce.

Who has used this fragrance, knows it's unforgettable ;D First of all, it's really heavy and when I write 'very', I do mean it :) It's like an elephant in its name - heavy, strong, exotic, there's power in it. It's spicy, oriental and sweet. This is one of my favourite fragrances (my top perfume is Kenzo Jungle Le Tigre I've been using for years), but I can't wear it often. Why? It can make you tired. It lasts for a long time, the fragrance spreads all around, everybody notices it. I like wearing it in summer but I feel the best in it in winter, because it's a warming up scent. Africa in a bottle. Or a ZOO in the bottle.

Wyczuwam w nim sporo przyprawowych goździków, doprawionych bursztynem i lukrecję, to chyba najbardziej.

I detect the spicy cloves the most, together with amber and licorice. My husband doesn't particularly like this scent as he thinks it's too overwhelming, but I like African vibe so I wear it - rarely because it's really bold ;) In general - like I have said, L'Elephant is a fragrance you either love or hate :)

Znacie go?

Do you know it?

  2. Wow! It's my favourite perfume since I can't remember! I was devastated when Kenzo discontinued the Tiger version, I hope it'll never happen to the lovely Elephant. I love it in the autumn, in cold November it's so warming and cosy. Also, it goes in summer very well, when it's hot and dry like in the desert.
I love it because it makes me feel strong and powerful. Kinda like an elephant.))))

    1. So we are fragrance soulmates! So great to find a person who loves both of these Kenzos :) Le Tigre is much easier to wear for me as it's even more pleasant to my nose and it's my signature scent. So expensive when found nowadays :(
Yeah, Elephant can be worn during summer too. I think it's an universal fragrance!

    2. I guess we are! It's rare to find a person who loves it, now it's not popular. And maybe it's for the best, your smell is more unique.)
I also like Kenzo Flower very much, it is a bit heavy, but it's warming too.

    3. I like it too! I also had a perfume with Madagascar in the name and it was great. Also these with Indigo in the name and Le Monde Est Beau or something like that. So you see I like many of them :) And you, what brands you like except Kenzo? Or fragrances?

    4. Thanks for the tip, I'll look then up.)

The majority of my perfume is oriental, I like sandalwood notes very much. I loved D&G Woman, but only the old version, they changed it about 5 years ago, - the sandal was very beautiful there.
One of my favorites is Bvlgari Omnia (the brown one), it's like indian masala - warm, sweet, spicy, but not as bold as The Elephant, you can wear it in the office.) Sadly, it's discontinued too.
I like classics: almost all Dior Poison line, especially Midnight Poison and Hypnotic Poison, Guerlain Samsara, Burberry Women.

Honestly, last couple of years all the new perfumes are the same to me, nothing catches my attention, so I switched to nail polish.))

    5. We're really similar in perfume tastes! I know Omnia and like it a lot. Actually, I like many Bvlgaris but this one was one of my favourites by theirs.
      You meant the red D&G?
Have you tried Van Cleef&Arpels, Birmane? It's a great one. NafNaf made great ones too, called NafNaf if I remember correctly.
Funny thing I was a huge perfume fan years ago, it got me tired and switched to nail polish too :D

    7. New Omnias don't last on me at all, it's a perfume for a half an hour.))
Yes, I meant the red D&G, it looked exactly like D&G Light Blue, but red. The packaging was a beauty itself, red velvet box! I still have it in miniature.

I haven't seen Birmane (only Feerie, but it was too sweet for me) or NafNaf.
Btw, for some reason I don't like Chanel at all, not one of them!

I could try niche perfume now, but I guess I'm too lazy for that, or I just lost interest..) So until I have my Elephant, it's all good.))

    8. I like Omnia Crystalline, Green Jade, Amethyste. They last well on me. The red D&G has always reminded me of velvet. Red velvet. Velvet on a royal chair :) I liked it.
I like Feerie but I have the same impressions about Chanel. I don't like the perfumes by this brand I got to know! They last a few days on me (too long), they often are too fresh and too perfect in this "I'm so perfect classy office type" that I don't feel comfortable in. And you?

    9. Exactly! Chanel is too classy, too perfect and too glamorous, it's not interesting at all.)

  4. BTW, I don't use the spray on me directly, I use it with my finger on the neck and on the wrists. This way it's less disturbing to people in the room (my husband is not the fan either.))) and more intimate, still the aroma is very strong and I can feel it all day on my skin.

    1. Yes, the less of the fragrance, the better. My husband and me say there's something in this scent that reminds us of a visit at the dentist's. Have you noticed this too?

    2. I hate dentists so much, I would notice, so nothing like that. My husband just says that his throat closes.))))
